Review: Web of Lies (Giveaway Included!!!)

Summary From Goodreads:In the midst of a struggle for control of his pack, eighteen-year-old werewolf enforcer-to-be Luke Stanton meets the one girl who will destroy everything or complete him. Eighteen-year-old Luke Stanton is focused, strong, and intimidating as hell. He has to be. As the future enforcer of Red Ridge, it will be his job to keep the other weres in line. So avoiding close friendships, pack drama, and especially pack females is in his best interest. He witnessed firsthand what love did to his father, so casual human hookups are enough. Then she arrives: Scarlett Reed. She arouses something primal in him, something undeniable. But just as Luke gives himself permission to finally experience something real, the truth bursts free. The were beauty is harboring a secret so devastating it has the power to destroy him. At the same time, the pack is splintering over a battle for leadership, and Luke’s strength is needed more than ever. It is a time of upheaval, of the destructive power of lies. Everything he thought to protect is in danger: his family, his friends and most of all, his heart.

Lately, I've been in a book slump and I haven't been able to find a really good book to read in my free time. This has been because I'm mostly ready depressing books my teacher assigns for my AP Lit. class. Anyways, reading the first few pages of this book got me out of my slump fast! I completely loved the whole book and couldn't put it down! Following is my review for this awesome book!!!

Story Line: Although this book is the third in the Red Ridge series, I found it easy to follow along with the characters and the story line. This was especially made easy because the books while about different characters still follow the same story line, picking up where the last book left off. I also loved how this book was told in three major perspectives! This made the story line even more interesting and suspenseful!!

Relationship: Scarlett and Luke make an awesome couple. I would call them a power couple just because they are both strong leaders and both are also people that others look up to. It was entertaining watching how they fell in love with each other, especially since they both try and deny it. I loved the fact that their story and relationship started out with Luke being the one who could endanger the relationship but then switched to Scarlett being the one that could end their relationship.

Characters:
Scarlett: I loved the character of Scarlett. She faces a hard decision in the book of having to choose between Luke and her pack, father, and life. However, through it all she remains strong, which is something I love about her character. I also enjoyed reading about her fighting spirit and her struggle to find her true self. Throughout the book she starts recognizing that the front she put up for people isn't the real her and that she no longer want to be that person. Also, while she's discovering herself he continues fighting against the binds put on her by her father and especially Drew.

Luke: I absolutely loved Luke because 1) His name! "Luke" is such a great name! Right? (LOL!!) 2) While he's portrayed as the player in the pack he's actually a really caring and sweet guy underneath. 3) He knows his faults and isn't afraid to admit them and change. I find this a really important quality in people and fictional character because they develop throughout the story. 4) He won't accept bad attitudes or sass from anyone (even the to be alphas!) 5) His inner conversations and thought are just downright hilarious!!!

Drew: Drew at first seemed like the careless and douchebaggy party boy bat as the story progresses his character is exposed in a new light. He is completely different from the face he give to people; he is much worse. He feels entitled to everything because he's the next in line for alpha and believe he can get away with anything because of it. Although I have to admit that his character as a villain was very well portrayed.

Overall: I absolutely loved this book and think it's perfect read if your in a book slump or not even! The characters are great and I don't think you even have to read the other two book in the series but if you want to you can (I know I will!!). I loved the cliff hanger at the end and the surprise plot twist with Drew and Brian.

Rating: I would give this book a 10 out of 10!!!!
